Organic Veg Growing and Planning

Ryton Organic Gardens
Thursday, 15 June 2017 -
10:00am to 4:00pm

This is a popular introductory course on how to start with planning your organic garden focusing on crop rotation, ground preparation and more.

The day will look at what you need to do and buy to get started growing your own fruit and veg, and will be based around you and your own garden situations. We will start with an assessment of each person’s space and knowledge and build the morning session around your needs. The afternoon session will involve a walk around Garden Organic’s different gardens and then back to the classroom for a final session of more precise planning of each person’s first growing year and each person will leave with a year 1 plan of action to get growing.

Very useful course. I picked up a lot of tips. I liked the way that the activities were quite varied rather than just sitting and listening.

There will be a short practical session growing skills session, and there will be takeaways for you of a seasonal nature.

You will be able to take home a variety of fact sheets to help get you started.

This course is suitable at beginner to intermediate level. This course is subjected to changes.
