The Exotic Seed Event at London Road allotments on Saturday 17 March, organised by Garden Organic, will invite gardeners, allotment holders and veg enthusiasts to come and learn about the vast range of exotic vegetables that can be grown successfully in the UK.

Head to Ryton Gardens for Compost Day on Thursday 19 April 2012 as part of National Gardening Week.

Compost will be the theme of the day, so drop in for extensive advice from the Garden Organic and RHS panel and pick up top tips to help the nation to get composting.

The new Compost and Soil Fertility garden will also be open for visitors to enjoy and Master Gardeners will be on hand to dish out practical advice.
